Now 2/3rds complete, “The Past, Present, and Future” moves into the final stages tomorrow.  Twenty-three days from now, “The Future” will come to a close leaving just “The End of Time” before a new journey begins.  That of course, is a story for another day.  For now, I look forward to the trip ahead.

        Today I would like to take the time to thank everyone that has visited my blog.  I appreciate each one of you.  I would also like to thank the individual that sent me my first piece of fan mail.  I was honored to receive such a letter, and the enclosed poem was very well written.  Thank you very much.

        When I wrote this collection of poems, I really didn’t have an end game in mind.  For some time, I had been searching for a positive and effective way to relieve stress.  One day, I realized that I needed to begin writing again.  This time, though, it wouldn’t be for a newspaper, or some other form of work.  Instead, it would be for myself.  For me, writing has been a good way to relieve stress and free my mind from the unfinished projects floating through my consciousness.

        Writing poetry, in particular has been an enjoyable experience.  For better or worse, though, my mind wouldn’t let me stop with poetry.  Instead, “The Past, Present, and Future” morphed into two separate projects.  The collection of poems was the seed, or more to the point chromosome, of something much larger.  Intertwined like two strands of nucleic acid, the two projects twisted together forming their own bond.  This collection of poetry, of course, is just one of the strands.  The other stand, well, it’s still a secret.  I suppose, I’ve already given away too much.  If you want to know the whole story, I guess you’ll just have to come back on April 18th.

        For now I would like to leave everyone with another sneak peek from “The Convergence,” which is a key poem to both projects:

Embodied as the fiery, life-giving, sun,
The future moved closer to convergence.
