Cody, Cody, Cody – this is incredible. This is a true work of art! I love when a poem can have just a few words, but the meaning be so grand! and truthful.
It makes me happy that you liked this poem. When I wrote it, I was reading a book about Zen and also learning about meditation techniques. I liked what I was learning so much that I wanted to write a poem about it. Of course, I wanted to add my own twist to it. Everything that I was learning about had to do with understanding your inner self. While understanding your inner self is important, I felt that the outer world could not be ignored. That idea created this poem and the idea of balancing the two as a means of enlightenment. Thanks again for your comment.
The Yoda in me wants to say “Do. Or do not. There is no try.” Of course, in reality I know exactly what you are saying. I try to do this everyday too! Thank you so much for your comment.
The open gate is be free to all understanding. Just the right path to awareness!!! Beautiful Poet
