Cody McCullough studied journalism in college and worked as a reporter for several years before becoming an English teacher. In 2012, Cody began writing a collection of poetry titled: THE PAST, PRESENT, & FUTURE. Original poems from this collection were first published on his blog. Since that time, Cody has edited the entire collection while also working on other projects. He published the updated collection earlier this year. He is currently writing and editing another collection of poetry titled LOST IN TIME and is putting the finishing touches on his debut novel under the working title 2023: A TIME ODYSSEY. Cody lives in Sherwood, Oregon, with his wife and daughters.

    • I’m glad you like my blog, and think it is beautiful. I was just reading today about how everyone has a desire, and need, to feel important. I immediately identified this blog as one of my avenues to that end. That being the case, I would like to say thank you for making me feel important.

  8. Cody, Thank you for taking the time to check out one of my blog posts. This was practice for a business blog I plan and I had fun reliving that first European trip. I admire anyone that writes poetry; it was sometimes difficult in college to see what others saw and when I thought about writing poetry I anticipated the pain it would entail. Am I wrong?

    • Thank you for your comment. When it comes to poetry, I can honestly say that I never put much thought into it. When I became a teacher, one of my first assignments was to teach a poetry class. Needless to say, I spent a lot of time learning about poetry as a result of that class. Over time, I grew to love poetry. Eventually, I decided that I should try writing poetry too. With regard to pain, it all depends on the writer. Pain may not be your thing, but you’ll never know unless you give it a try. I’m actually writing a new collection of poetry now that focuses on positive themes. When it comes to writing, you’re the one who is in charge. Unless you get an editor. Then it’s all over….

    • Thank you very much. I’m very honored. For some time now, I’ve been meaning to put together an awards page. The longer I put it off, the more daunting the task becomes. I suppose I should stop dragging my feet. Of course, in many ways that is what I am best at…. Thank you for the comment.

    • Thank you for visiting my blog too. Truthfully, I’m not much of an expert when it comes to publishing. Soon I’ll be looking for a publisher for my book, but until then I’ll be on the hunt as well.

    • I appreciate your support, and I’m glad that you like my poems. I have a feeling that I’ll have some work published before the end of the year. If that doesn’t happen, though, I’ll still be content. My main focus is bringing my poetry, and writing, to life. Everything after that is out of my control. Thank you for your kind words.
